We’re also building a long-term community.

For the minority of attendees, that are interested, we’re also curating a new coliving house in San Francisco.
  • Coliving is when people choose to live together in large houses and share common spaces. It's about being intentional about who you spend time with (and it's fun).
  • There's a thriving underground coliving subculture in SF with hundreds of communities, mostly 20-45, often including people you might not expect.

Why is this a natural fit?

Coliving can further help explorers. A supportive community of inspiring people can do wonders for your persistence.

We should know: we cofounded a house called the Archive and our housemates founded 15 companies, including top-tier AI lab Anthropic and unicorn Imbue. A third of these founding teams said the Archive was pivotal to their outcomes.

Coliving houses are part of a broader project called

the Neighborhood.

The Neighborhood's goal is to recapture the magic of a university campus, but for all generations.

We focus our efforts into our favorite square mile in the middle of SF so that your friends, work, and hangout spots are all within walking distance. Other inspirations include the 15 Minute City and Renaissance Florence.

We've been going for a few years now and the vibes have been great!

It’s got 3 parts:

Coliving

So far we've started houses for climate and AI. Now we're doing biology.

Next we'll do state capacity, edtech, and science fiction.

Third spaces

These are membership-supported hangout spaces with hundreds of events per year. We helped start The Commons and now work together to seed more through a grantmaking coalition.

Next we want to start a dining hall for folks that WFH.

Cohousing

The coliving village is made of homes and ADUs (accessory dwelling units) where you join backyards into shared parks. These are usually owned by families with similar-aged kids and can include a timeshare for the grandparents.

We also run a real estate business that helps folks take the first step.

I want to join! What’s the process?

  • If you're part of the 30-40% of attendees that are interested in community, we'll invite you and any +1s to a follow-up adventure weekend on April 6-7. The weekend will feature a high ropes course, happy hour, authentic relating, info session, and an initial group formation activity.
  • We'll have ten rooms available 5/1; other folks will find their own housing.
